(See the English translation by G. W. Horner)<br /><br />The word noute (god) appears at 1 Timothy 3:16 only as an adjective, bound to the Coptic prefix mnt- (mnt.noute). This adjective means "divinity" or "godliness," not God. (Crum's Coptic Dictionary, 23b).
